Program Goals
The Buzz Aldrin Space Collection will include a wide variety of literature relevant to the exploration of Space. Some of the information expected to be available in the collection includes: Space Technology Journals, Space Books, and Space Fiction. link to more info

Program Implementation
The Buzz Aldrin Space collection has been endorsed by the Douglas County Board of Commissioners for inclusion in the Douglas County Library. Appropriate floor space has been approved and construction of the new library is expected to be completed in November 2002. Community contributions are expected to fund the initial acquisition of materials ... making your support vital to the success of this undertaking.

Space Education
Buzz Aldrin and his wife, Lois, are involved in a number of space-related efforts designed to help citizens of Earth explore the Universe. Buzz Aldrin actively lends his voice to the space community through his private rocket design company (Starcraft Boosters, Inc.) and his non-profit organization devoted to opening the doors to space tourism, the ShareSpace Foundation. He serves on numerous space advisory councils, boards and government panels. He does this with a rigorous and impassioned commitment that bridges his own experience of woaling on the moon, an event recognized by many as the 20th century's loftiest achievement, with worlds of wonder yet to be reached, explored and colonized.
